About me
Andrea J. Drake is the Principal of Chariho Regional High School. Prior to her current role, she served as the Assistant Principal for Teaching & Learning for 5-years, the district's Assistant Director of Special Education for 4-years and, prior to that, the district's Response to Intervention Coordinator for 3-years. She first began a career in education as a School Psychologist at Chariho Regional Middle School in 2005. Andrea currently serves on two education boards; she is the Secondary Director for the RI Association of School Principals and she serves on the executive board of the RI Public Broadcasting Service. Andrea has presented locally and nationally on school-related topics, with a focus on educational leadership, mental health, and crisis response. She has written education-related publications for Principal Magazine and the Trainers' Forum. In her spare time, you can find Andrea reading at the beach, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and hunting for seaglass with her husband, Jon, and her son, Desmond.
