About me
This is my 17th year teaching English at Monadnock Regional High School. I have worked with grades 9-12. Currently, I teach grade 9 English, Eleven Honors English, Sports Literature, and AP Literature and Composition. My colleagues Assistant Superintendant Lisa Spencer, Librarian Hillary O'Malley, and I are excited to share our work with you. Even more exciting is the fact that you won't get to hear about the merits of this writing from only educators, but from some of our students as well. Ask us about how NEASC was a catalyst toward turning the argumentative research paper into a competency at our school. Ask us why we believe it is not only a part of our curriculum but our culture. Ask our students why they pick the topics they do, and how it has empowered them to own their learning.
We'll share with you how we got started and how we've maintained argument research paper writing as essential to the ELA curriculum and our school culture as well as our writing plan, rubric, resources, tips, and tricks that support our students, and make ELA teachers' lives easier.
